Stitch Garden is designed with privacy in mind. We do not use our own servers to store your charts, progress, or photos, we do not require you to create an account, and we do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking technologies.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the app uses, where that data is stored, and who can access it.
Data We Collect
Stitch Garden does not collect or transmit personal data or app usage data to us.
We do not have access to:
- your charts;
- your stitching progress;
- your photos;
- your activity history within the app;
- app usage data;
- advertising identifiers or other device identifiers used for tracking.
You do not need to create an account or sign in to use Stitch Garden.
Data Stored by Stitch Garden
The data required for Stitch Garden to function is stored locally on your device. This may include:
- imported chart files;
- stitching progress;
- chart settings;
- thread and material information;
- photos of your work;
- other data you create while using the app.
This data is used only to provide Stitch Garden's features.
iCloud Synchronization
On iPhone and iPad, Stitch Garden may synchronize your chart library and progress across your devices using Apple CloudKit.
The synchronized data is stored in your private CloudKit database associated with your iCloud account. We do not have access to the contents of your private CloudKit database.
We do not operate a server through which this data passes, and we do not receive a copy of your data during synchronization.
Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
You can manage Stitch Garden's access to iCloud through the iCloud settings on your device.
Android Synchronization
On Android, Stitch Garden may synchronize data across your devices using app-specific storage in your Google Drive account.
This storage is intended for application data and does not appear among your regular files in Google Drive.
This data does not pass through our servers and is not transmitted to us.
Your use of Google Drive is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Photos
Photos of your stitching progress are stored locally on your device.
Stitch Garden does not upload these photos to our servers or use them for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose.
Progress photos are not synchronized between devices by Stitch Garden.
Imported Chart Files
Chart files, including .xsd, .oxs, .pat, and PDF files, are processed locally on your device.
Stitch Garden does not send imported chart files to us.
If synchronization is enabled, chart files may be stored in your private iCloud storage or app-specific Google Drive storage so that they can be accessed from your other devices.
Some charts may be copyrighted works created by independent designers. Stitch Garden does not publish or distribute files that you import into the app.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Stitch Garden:
- does not display advertising;
- does not use advertising networks;
- does not use third-party analytics services;
- does not use tracking technologies;
- does not create advertising profiles;
- does not track your activity across other apps or websites;
- does not sell or provide your data to advertisers or data brokers.
Third-Party Services
Stitch Garden uses Apple CloudKit on iPhone and iPad and corresponding Google services on Android to provide synchronization features.
We do not use these services for advertising, marketing, or analytics.
Data processed by Apple and Google is subject to their respective privacy policies.
Contacting Support
If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
We use this information only to respond to your request and help resolve the issue.
If you voluntarily attach a file, photo, or other material to your support request, we will have access to that material only in connection with your request.
We do not use information submitted through support requests for advertising or profiling.
Data Retention and Deletion
Stitch Garden data is stored on your device and, when synchronization is enabled, in your iCloud or Google Drive storage.
When you delete a chart or other data from the app, it is removed from local storage. Synchronized data is also removed from the corresponding cloud storage after synchronization.
If you delete Stitch Garden from your device, data already stored in iCloud or Google Drive may remain there until you remove it using the corresponding Apple or Google account settings.
We cannot view or delete this data on your behalf because we do not have access to it.
Information that you voluntarily send to us through a support request may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request and maintain relevant correspondence.
Children's Privacy
Stitch Garden does not collect personal data from users through the app, regardless of their age.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
If our data practices or Stitch Garden's features change, we will update this Privacy Policy and the date shown at the top of this page.
Where necessary, we will also update the privacy information provided through the App Store or other app stores.
